Principal Consultant – Oxford Office

Baker Shepherd Gillespie is now recruiting a Principal Consultant for its Oxford office. The successful candidate will: provide evidence of practical field skills and an understanding of ecological principles; demonstrate clear thinking about the policy, legislative and political drivers that shape our professional advice; and have excellent client-facing and management skills. The ability to produce clear, unambiguous verbal and written advice to clients and co-professionals is essential.

Our expertise and experience is increasingly applied across most sectors of the market and we are now looking for a suitably experienced Principal Consultant with the ability to coordinate and lead a diverse range of projects as we continue to expand the business.


About Baker Shepherd Gillespie

We are an independent ecological consultancy with thirty ecologists in four offices around the UK and a portfolio of projects dating back to 1997. For almost fifteen years we have contributed to the development of the profession and worked on securing biodiversity returns in some of the most challenging situations. Hand in hand with this, our nationwide team perpetually widens and deepens its understanding of client needs in an ever-changing administrative, funding and policy environment.

We are working closely with private and public sector clients through times of increasing demands on resources to continue to deliver high quality ecological consultancy. We strive to understand client requirements and the demands placed upon them, and our aim is to help ensure project success while meeting all ecological obligations and requirements.
