Ecological Clerk of Works
Baker Shepherd Gillespie regularly provides strategic and specific guidance and planning advice to development projects. We often act as an Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) to provide input throughout the construction phases of projects. The role of the ECoW is to guide and advise on how to avoid or minimise on-site ecological impacts through, for example, the design and supervision of ecological mitigation and compensation measures.
Good communication and close liaison with other contractors, project managers and designers is an essential part of this type of work. All of our staff have considerable experience in liaising with clients about ecological issues and for this reason BSG is well placed to provide an efficient ECoW service. All BSG staff hold CSCS cards and work to a rigorous set of health and safety guidelines.
