Bats and Onshore Wind Farms: Technical Review of Presentations from the Trondheim Conference on Wind Energy and Wildlife, May 2011

In recent years considerable research has been undertaken looking at the impacts of wind turbines on bats. In May researchers gathered at a conference at Trondheim, Norway, to talk about their work, which has implications for the renewable energy industry.

Some of the key points to emerge from this conference are discussed in the following article which has been produced by Helen Evriviades, Principal Ecologist in BSG’s Oxford Office.
