BSG regularly provides both strategic and specific guidance and planning advice to development projects. This work often includes acting as an Ecological Clerk of Works, providing input throughout the construction phases of such projects to avoid or minimise ecological impacts through, for example, the design and supervision of ecological mitigation and compensation to ensure that engineering operations do not conflict with protected ecological features. Communications and close liaison with engineers and site contractors is an essential part of this type of work.
