Hannah has been a professional ecologist since 2007 and joined BSG Ecology in August 2012.

Hannah has worked on a range of developments including road and rail schemes, quarries, landfill sites and housing developments and has particular experience in renewable energy projects. She has project managed ecological inputs to numerous wind energy projects of varying scales from single turbines to 50 + turbine schemes in eastern Europe including Bulgaria, Romania and most recently Poland.

Hannah provides advice to a range of clients regarding protected species issues and has successfully applied for European Protected Species Licences (EPSL) for bats and has experience with great crested newt EPSL applications. She holds Natural England survey licences for bats, dormouse and great crested newts. She regularly writes reports to accompany planning applications and has prepared Ecology Chapters for Environmental Statements. Hannah has worked on ecological mitigation and compensation proposals and has provided an Ecological Clerk of Works role on various development sites. She also has experience of writing and implementing Habitat Management and Monitoring Plans.

Prior to joining BSG Ecology Hannah held consultancy posts at RSK, Ecoconsult and Golder Associates (UK) Ltd. Hannah has also provided training courses in relation to bats and has presented at UK and Polish wind energy conferences. Since 2007 Hannah has been an active member of both the Oxfordshire and North Buckinghamshire Bat Groups, and in 2011 completed a Master of Science dissertation studying roost selection in a well-established bat box project run by the North Bucks Bat Group.
