Jamie joined BSG Ecology in 2017.
Jamie has contributed to a wide range of projects from barn conversions and refurbishment of listed buildings to large residential and mixed use schemes. Jamie’s experience includes working alongside contractors as an Ecological Clerk of Works during the implementation of European Protected Species Mitigation licences. He holds a Class 1 survey licence for great crested newts and has considerable experience of GCN population and eDNA surveys. He has also undertaken numerous bat emergence, re-entry and activity surveys, daytime building and tree assessments for bats, reptile presence / absence surveys and invertebrate sampling and analysis. Jamie has also worked on several badger mitigation projects including assisting with sett closures and monitoring of artificial setts. In addition, Jamie has completed analysis of large bat data sets using Analook.
Jamie is experienced in producing technical reports including; Preliminary Ecological Appraisal (PEA), Ecological Appraisals (EA), baseline reports, method statements, Habitat Risk Assessment (HRA), ecological management plans including both Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and Landscape Environmental Management Plans (LEMP), BREEAM 2014 and 2018 as well as undertaking biodiversity gain assessments.
Jamie is a graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and has a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Aquaculture and Sports Fishery Management, obtained at Portsmouth University in 2011.
