Louise joined BSG Ecology in March 2022.
She has experience conducting extended phase one habitat surveys and has written a number of technical documents including phase one habitat reports and ecological impact assessments. She has conducted surveys for protected species including reptiles, badgers and water vole and has experience carrying out both bat activity and roost emergence surveys. In addition, she is confident using technical software and equipment to support species surveys and ecological reports. Louise has extensive experience using GIS to produce detailed habitat maps and has used Kaleidoscope Pro to analyse bat echolocation data.
Louise graduated with a first class degree in Ecology. She is keen on freshwater ecology and for her thesis investigated the toxicity of Himalayan Balsam on freshwater fauna. She has a good grounding in freshwater survey methodology and has conducted water quality assessments in the UK and abroad.
