Response to the draft British Standard for Biodiversity Net Gain

Response to the draft British Standard for Biodiversity Net Gain

BSG Ecology, LDA Design and Pinsent Masons have collaborated to comment on the draft British Standard – BS 8683 Process for designing and implementing Biodiversity Net Gain – Specification.

In due course this standard will sit within the context of the emerging Environment Act and it’s associated secondary legislation. It is likely that other biodiversity net gain national guidance will follow. To successfully deliver biodiversity net gain, it is important that this standard is clear and achievable for all parties within the legislation, policy and guidance framework.

Our collaborative response brings together expertise in ecology, landscape and development planning and management within local and national planning policy and the wildlife legislative framework.
